To protect the environment, the Ministry of Environment and Climate Change (MoECC) enforces environmental standards under Environmental Protection Law Decree No. (30) and its regulations. Which standards apply to a facility is set out in its Consent to Construct (CTC) and Consent to Operate (CTO).
